MASTERPIECE EMBRACE 40 mm

The Masterpiece Embrace combines artistic expression and technical creativity – which is particularly evident in the retrograde calendar and the unusual small seconds display: two rotating hearts as a metaphor for the ups and downs of every relationship, but inseparably connected in a tight embrace (“Embrace”).

The luxurious 40mm stainless steel case ensures an imposing presence on the wrist and completes any haute couture ensemble. Inside lies the in-house caliber ML258 movement. This automatic movement features high-quality finishes such as rhodium-plated bridges with a "Colimaçon" pattern, a rhodium-plated openworked rotor with vertical Geneva stripes, and a combination of sandblasted and spiral decorations. In addition to its external appearance, the watch also impresses with its inner workings.

Openwork, leaf-shaped hour and minute hands mark the time with clarity and remarkable style. The lower part of the dial features a nod to Cupid in the form of an arrow-shaped hand. This refers to the retrograde date display, which in turn is expressed by a series of small circles. When you're in love, your heart and mind can sometimes stop working for a moment. This state is captured by the poetic inscription on the dial: "Je t'aime, un peu, beaucoup, à la folie!" ("I love you, a little, a lot, madly!").

The true masterpiece of the Masterpiece Embrace, however, is the small seconds display – a reinterpretation of Maurice Lacroix's patented square-wheel display. Each tooth has a unique profile: Manufactured to minute tolerances, it meshes seamlessly and with the utmost precision with its counterpart. A discreet marker indicates the current second without compromising the uncluttered dial design. Both versions of the Masterpiece Embrace interpret the appearance of the heart individually.
